With veneers, we give highly worn or discolored teeth their appealing and natural appearance back. These wafer-thin ceramic veneers from the master laboratory are used in these situations:
- Strongly discolored teeth
- Gaps between teeth, which cannot be closed otherwise
- Crooked teeth or irregularly grown teeth
- Chipped teeth
- Brittle teeth
First we take impressions of your teeth and perform X-rays. In order that the veneers are compatible later, we determine the color and shape according to your requirements. During the actual treatment in our practice in Freiburg, we subsequently bond the veneers to the tooth with a special adhesive technique.
For this purpose, the tooth requires hardly any pre-treatment, and its substance is subsequently almost completely conserved. At the end of the process, we will provide you with a suitable temporary restoration, since the individual preparation of veneers takes a few weeks.
Veneers may consist of either composite (dental color, moldable dental material) or ceramic. The composite solution is less expensive, however, veneers from ceramics offer aesthetic and functional advantages, and are therefore comparatively more costly. We can only inform you of the exact amount of a veneer treatment after an exact diagnosis.
As well as giving you a natural and healthy-looking smile, lumineers also cover unsightly defects, tooth gaps or broken teeth.
Similar to veneers, lumineers are wafer-thin ceramic veneers, the thickness of which is comparable to contact lenses. They are made individually for each tooth and are adapted to the natural shape and color of your teeth. Compared to veneers, lumineers do not require that a healthy tooth be sanded down.
