We say “no” to amalgam
Your health is our focus! Naturally, we pay very close attention to the materials with which our patients are brought into contact. Therefore, we have long since refrained from fillings made from amalgam. Even if such a filling material is still used in many cases as the “method of choice” – the potential health risks for us, are too high.
The Q-Dentists in Freiburg use harmless materials such as plastic and ceramics for fillings, crowns and bridges. We will be happy to advise you personally so as to find the right dental prosthesis for you.
Dental prostheses made of ceramic often consist of zirconium dioxide, which is one of the so-called oxide ceramics. It has properties that are comparable to and even partially superior to metal.
Ceramic is corrosion-free and is particularly resistant to bending and breakage. Dental prostheses made of ceramics are excellently accepted by our organism, and allergic reactions can be virtually ruled out.
In addition, the poor thermal conductivity of ceramics is beneficial to the tooth pulp because the pulp will be less exposed to thermal irritation.
- No difference visually to the original
- Exceptionally stable
- Well tolerated
- Fast insertion possible
We use ceramic composites for the restoration of missing tooth structure. With ceramic composite material we not only construct reliable fillings, but we also compensate for defects in the front and side areas of the tooth as well as interdental spaces which are too wide. The advantage is that we can match the composites individually to the tooth color, so that no difference from the original will be seen. Following treatment, the teeth are immediately ready to be fully loaded.
With high-quality ceramics, we can provide you with perfect dental prostheses and can restore losses of substance in teeth in a natural form. The following treatment options are available:
- Inlays, onlays, overlays
- Partial or full crowns
- Dental prostheses
- Implant crowns or implant bridges
We manufacture dental prostheses made out of ceramics in our practice in Freiburg using the CEREC method – in only one session! The need for an impression and the annoying wearing of a transitional prosthesis are both no longer necessary!
