Our dentist Dr. Stefan Schultheis specializes in treatment with Digital Smile Design. He knows the important features of beautiful teeth and helps you achieve a harmonious image between teeth, lips and face.
The duration of the treatment depends very much on the wishes you want your new teeth to fulfill. After a consultation and taking pictures, you will receive a detailed statement from us about the planned duration of treatment.
Treatment with Digital Smile Design is not a service that is covered by statutory health insurance funds. The costs you can expect depend on, among other things, the extent of the treatment and the material we use for your new teeth. As soon as we can make a reliable statement about the costs, you will receive a cost estimate from us.
A healthy mouth is a prerequisite for treatment with DSD. This means that there must be no inflammation and/or tooth decay. It is also our responsibility to advise you against treatment if it harms the preservation of your teeth or your oral health.
Practical effort is decisive for the costs. How extensive bleaching is depends on the extent of the discoloration. As a rule, each jaw is calculated individually.
Ideally, the tooth color lasts for several years. However, it is not possible to give an exact time frame. This depends heavily on the patient's lifestyle. Smoking and drinking coffee, tea and red wine influence the color of the teeth. Regular professional teeth cleaning, on the other hand, has a positive effect on the brightness of the teeth.
These methods are not only unsuccessful, but can also cause inflammation and irritate tissues. Therefore, you should refrain from bleaching according to the motto “do it yourself”.
Before bleaching, we remove stubborn plaque from the teeth and from the interdental spaces during professional teeth cleaning. Only then can we see how heavily the teeth are actually discolored. It must also be ensured that the teeth do not have holes due to tooth decay. If the bleaching substance penetrates the tooth through such a hole, it can cause damage.
Pure cosmetic corrections, such as bleaching, are personal benefits and are not reimbursed by health insurance. Major corrections that are medically necessary may be covered in part by health insurance. You should contact your insurance company here to obtain a binding statement.
No, dentures cannot be whitened. Anyone who decides to bleach should therefore be prepared to have fillings and dentures replaced.
Veneers are wafer-thin veneers made of all-ceramic or composite, with which we can make blemishes on the front teeth disappear. For this purpose, the dental veneers are permanently connected to the tooth using so-called adhesive technology.
All-ceramic veneers have particularly good durability. With proper care, dental veneers can last 15 years or more. There are even scientific studies in which veneers did not require any improvements even 20 years after treatment!
There are many uses for veneers. In general, the tooth should be free from tooth decay and inflammation. Tooth veneers can also be glued to crowns.
It is best for us to decide whether a misaligned tooth should be treated with dental veneers or braces after a detailed examination. In principle, dental veneers can also cover crooked teeth without any problems.
The carbamide peroxide used to whiten teeth is unable to whiten ceramic or composite. If your veneer changes color later on, it may be due to the adhesive used. Another possibility is that the natural tooth shimmers through. We would be happy to take a closer look at this in our practice.
In addition to classic veneers, there are other options for veneering teeth. We differentiate between: veneers to go and non prep veneers.
We are aware that the question of costs is important to you. However, it is extremely difficult to answer. The financial outlay required always depends on the extent of the implantation. Is it a single implant or a complete dental restoration? The material also plays an important role in the price. We offer our patients a digitally planned solution that promises maximum safety. Please contact us if you have any questions about the costs. Together with you, we develop an individual treatment plan so that you can precisely define your costs.
As a rule, the provision of implants is not supported by statutory health insurance. However, health insurance may subsidize certain treatments. You should check this with your insurance company in advance. Private insurance companies usually cover the costs.
The actual implantation usually takes no more than one to two hours. Of course, this also depends on the extent of the procedure. It can take two to four months for the implant to completely grow into the jaw.
In the best case, implants last a lifetime. However, you need good care and regular professional dental cleanings 3-4 times a year by our dental hygienists. Mouth infections are not only a threat to your teeth, but can also lead to loss of the implant in the worst case. Our prophylaxis experts are here to provide you with advice and assistance.
We offer various anaesthetic options to make your implantation as comfortable as possible. The procedure itself is performed under anesthesia, so you don't feel anything about it. After implantation, hardly any adverse effects on everyday life are to be expected.
With All-on-4, we provide a complete jaw with dentures. The method is therefore suitable for patients with toothless jaws or residual teeth that cannot be preserved.
Your dentures are indistinguishable from real teeth — functionally and visually! The method also has the advantage that you can charge your new third parties the same evening. All-on-4 therefore eliminates the hassle of waiting for dentures.
Since every patient has different requirements for implants, depending on whether it is a complete or partial restoration, there is no general answer to the question of the costs. As your dentist for complete dental restorations, we attach great importance to transparency and want you to be informed about the next step at any stage of treatment. We would be happy to discuss the treatment and cost plan with you as part of your dental restoration and explain the corresponding cost factors to you.

We perform the treatment under general anaesthetic so that you can sleep through the procedure. One thing is certain: You don't have to be afraid of pain. We have every option available to make your treatment as pleasant as possible! After implantation, hardly any adverse effects on everyday life are to be expected.
